ABOUT DADSWORLD.COM

Rick Gray with wife Dawn, son Alex and daughter Haley
Really good, involved Dads are not seen on the news or in the tabloids begging for attention, they are too busy working and raising a family. They quietly go about their jobs with confidence and dignity, not asking for praise, but certainly deserving it. They aren’t into shock-value or fleeting fame, NO, what they are into is raising quality children and being quality people. Great Dads ought to be appreciated by our society, read the statistics on this website and you will see why.

We need quality people, and it starts with a quality family at home. So there are three main things that Dadsworld is trying to help get done: 1) Promote and Celebrate great Dads and make it cool and socially encouraged to be an involved father. 2) Encourage Dads to take the initiative and be involved. 3) Entertain and inform Dads of fun things to do with their families.

The media’s portrayal of Dads is extremely poor, not uplifting, not giving the proper weight to the role of Dads and frankly more often than not, inaccurate. We are getting more and more modern day Dads who are involved and committed to their families. Dads are much more capable at child rearing tasks today and also much more willing to do them. Isn’t that something that should be encouraged? Of course it is. That’s where Dadsworld comes in, celebrate great Dads. Just look at the numbers and you can see that a Dads influence on his kids is tremendous.

I believe Dads want to be “cool” and “hip”, but don’t necessarily know how. Juggling domestic responsibilities and work is confusing for men. If I am working should I feel guilty that I am not with my family? If I am with my family, am I worried about work and earning enough money to meet the families needs? How much time with my family is enough? How much time is reasonable to devote to my career? Can I work from home? What’s really important to me? These are tough questions for men to wrestle with. The best answer I have is that you need to spend some time thinking and planning what you want your life to look like. Design your life.

Our website is devoted to Promoting great Dads, showing men how to become better Dads and husbands, and how to have fun doing it. Our forum and blog are designed to help educate and celebrate Dads, so if you haven’t yet visited, you should check it out. Ladies, that goes for you too.

Congratulations, Dad. You have the power to be e a modern day hero. Live the part and be proud. Be a shining example for others to follow. Dazzle and amaze your family with your steadfast commitment to them and your never ending love and devotion. THAT is something to be proud of. -- Rick Gray, Founder
